About

The Handweavers Guild of Cork was established by a small group of friends in the 1980s.  Whilst originally a group for those practising weaving, spinning and dyeing the group now includes a variety of fibre crafters including knitters, crocheters and felters who endeavour to promote these crafts through exhibitions and demonstrations at events in public places.

The guild meets on the third Saturday of each month, various aspect of textile crafts are demonstrated at these meetings and attempted by those present. The June meeting is usually a dyeing or felting day sponsored by one of the members.
